Freebies galore and it's all about digiscrapping!
We had visitors over from Ireland last weekend and did some sightseeing in the region: Geneva, the Christmas Market in Montreux, some wine tasting at one of our favourite local vineyard. Not only did we have the first snow of the season the day before they arrived but on Saturday an icy cold wind, called La Bise, was blowing around Lake Geneva. It’s a regularly occurring wind but especially in winter it can be fierce. We had a very bad one in 2012 :
It inspired me to create Little Somethings 7 for you. It comes in three parts, which will remain available for download until I upload the next freebie. Enjoy and have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Hey all! I hope you’re having a wonderful fall .. here in Switzerland the colours are turning, the leaves are falling and I just made an appointment with my garage to put the winter tyres on the car, but the temperature is still summery. Frankly, I don’t mind that at all, I’m not a fan of the grey skies that we usually have here in November …
Here’s another freebie for you, with a bit of an autumn feel to it. Have fun with it!

I like making digital scrapbooking stuff … it’s a way for me to relax after a busy day. Much of it, however, lies around on my hard disk, unfinished and gathering dust, after I became distracted, caught up in work or other things or lost the inspiration. But here’s another freebie that I came across and finished today …. this one’s all about papers, the elements for this freebie are an afterthought really. Enjoy and … thank you for your comments! They’re appreciated!

A set of 6 subtly textured gradient papers and 6 wavey ombre papers (the solid backgrounds you see in the preview are included in the patterned paper pack above). There are also some bonus plain gradient papers included.

Hey all, it’s been a while! I finally finished this summery freebie … I better post it before summer’s over! It’s not really a “little something”, but once I got started, I couldn’t stop. I was happy to do a bit of pixel pushing, I guess …
Enjoy!

I present you … my mini kit “Bliss”,exclusively available at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio and only available until 31 October 2016, 5:59 pm EST. And the best news … it’s only ONE DOLLAR. Yes, you read that right, 1$. Don’t miss it!
This mini kit was the last challenge in a series of 4 for the Next Designer Contest at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio. If you’re familiar with my freebies, you’ll see that went a bit outside my usual box of clean papers and neat patterns, which was a nice personal challenge. I hope you like it! If you decide to purchase (for which I thank you in advance), it will count as a vote in the contest.
This kit will not become available as a freebie, but if you haven’t seen them yet, please check out my previous 3 submissions in the contest, “Free for (F)all”: the PAPERS, the ELEMENTS, and last but not least, the ALPHAS.
Here are some gorgeous pages made with “Bliss” …
I just barely made it into voting round 3 as I was a couple of hours late posting my submission, but a fairy godmother turned back the clock a little and my submission was entered anyway. The contest is fun, even though the schedule is quite tight. I guess that’s why it’s a contest eh!
You’ll find the download links (download links expired) in The Studio gallery, the images below are linked, just click on them. And while you’re there: if you like what you see and download, please consider voting for me HERE! Thank you!
Here’s what I submitted for round 2, an element pack:
and here’s my submission for round 3, a selection of alphas. I like doing alphas.
Also check out my post on round 1, the paper pack.
The Digital Scrapbooking Studio Next Designer Contest has started … for round 1 our challenge is to make a paper pack.
If you’d like to see (or download) the wonderful creations that the contestants are coming up with, check out the contest gallery. So far, there’s a nice mixture of styles, it’s lovely to see how everyone interprets the color palette. It’s not obvious, I found, to work with a palette that you didn’t get to pick yourself :-O
If you do visit, please leave some love for the contestants … I’m sure they’ll appreciate the motivational gesture 🙂
Here’s my contribution (the download link link expired for the paper pack is in the image description in the gallery)
Hi all! It’s Sunday afternoon, the skies are blue but there’s a fierce wind outside and going outside is not appealing. I was “link-hopping” on the internet and came across a site with Dutch candy. More specifically, candy of the licorice variety, or “drop”, as we know it. The Dutch like their licorice, especially the salty kind. It’s an acquired taste I guess, but it’s one of the things that I long for from time to time, even though we have been living in Switzerland for a long time now. Apparently the Dutch are the number 1 consumers of salty licorice in the world and I’m sure that’s true. I’ve stopped ordering it online because every time the postman brought the goodies in, I couldn’t help myself but scoffing it all down in just about one go.
Looking at the picture of these black & white candies, I remembered I had some cute black & white alpha buttons on my hard disk and thought it would be nice to upload them. After all, it was Digital Scrapbooking Day yesterday. Enjoy!

Digital Scrapbooking Studio has their annual Next Designer Contest 2016. I had heard about this contest in the past and decided to put my name down for it. Exciting! If you would like to enter this contest also, be sure to put your name down before 3 October 2016 which is when the registration closes.
There is also the Annual Layout Artist Contest 2016 – the top 5 winners in this contest will be offered a spot on their site creative team. Registration for this contest also closes on 3 October 2016.
If you’d like to have a say on which color palette will be used for the Next Designer Contest, make sure to vote for your favorite palette. Hurry though, voting ends on Friday 30 September! There are some really great palettes too. My favorites are the “Succulent Hues” palette found on Design Seeds and proposed by Julie C Design:
and the “Fresh Hues” palette, also via Design Seeds and proposed by AnneC:
Go on and have some fun at the Studio … either by entering one of the contests or to vote for your favorite color palette for the Next Designer Contest.
