Only available for 3 days and only one dollar …

I present you … my mini kit “Bliss”,exclusively available at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio and only available until 31 October 2016, 5:59 pm EST. And the best news … it’s only ONE DOLLAR. Yes, you read that right, 1$. Don’t miss it!

This mini kit was the last challenge in a series of 4 for the Next Designer Contest at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio. If you’re familiar with my freebies, you’ll see that went a bit outside my usual box of clean papers and neat patterns, which was a nice personal challenge. I hope you like it! If you decide to purchase (for which I thank you in advance), it will count as a vote in the contest.

This kit will not become available as a freebie, but if you haven’t seen them yet, please check out my previous 3 submissions in the contest, “Free for (F)all”: the PAPERS, the ELEMENTS, and last but not least, the ALPHAS.

Here are some gorgeous pages made with “Bliss” …

Digital Scrapbooking Studio – Next Designer Contest 2016

I just barely made it into voting round 3 as I was a couple of hours late posting my submission, but a fairy godmother turned back the clock a little and my submission was entered anyway.  The contest is fun, even though the schedule is quite tight. I guess that’s why it’s a contest eh!

You’ll find the download links in The Studio gallery, the images below are linked, just click on them. And while you’re there: if you like what you see and download, please consider voting for me HERE! Thank you!

Here’s what I submitted for round 2, an element pack:

and here’s my submission for round 3, a selection of alphas. I like doing alphas.

Also check out my post on round 1, the paper pack.

Digital Scrapbooking Studio Next Designer Contest – Round 1

The Digital Scrapbooking Studio Next Designer Contest has started … for round 1 our challenge is to make a paper pack.

If you’d like to see (or download) the wonderful creations that the contestants are coming up with, check out the contest gallery. So far, there’s a nice mixture of styles, it’s lovely to see how everyone interprets the color palette. It’s not obvious, I found, to work with a palette that you didn’t get to pick yourself :-O

If you do visit, please leave some love for the contestants … I’m sure they’ll appreciate the motivational gesture :-)

Here’s my contribution (the download link for the paper pack is in the image description in the gallery)

Thinking of Dutch licorice made me want to share this alpha freebie …

Hi all! It’s Sunday afternoon, the skies are blue but there’s a fierce wind outside and going outside is not appealing. I was “link-hopping” on the internet and came across a site with Dutch candy. More specifically, candy of the licorice variety, or “drop”, as we know it. The Dutch like their licorice, especially the salty kind. It’s an acquired taste I guess, but it’s one of the things that I long for from time to time, even though we have been living in Switzerland for a long time now. Apparently the Dutch are the number 1 consumers of salty licorice in the world and I’m sure that’s true. I’ve stopped ordering it online because every time the postman brought the goodies in, I couldn’t help myself but scoffing it all down in just about one go.

Looking at the picture of these black & white candies, I remembered I had some cute black & white alpha buttons on my hard disk and thought it would be nice to upload them. After all, it was Digital Scrapbooking Day yesterday. Enjoy!

Next Designer Contest/Layout Artist Contest at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio

Digital Scrapbooking Studio has their annual Next Designer Contest 2016. I had heard about this contest in the past and decided to put my name down for it. Exciting! If you would like to enter this contest also, be sure to put your name down before 3 October 2016 which is when the registration closes.

There is also the Annual Layout Artist Contest 2016 – the top 5 winners in this contest will be offered a spot on their site creative team. Registration for this contest also closes on 3 October 2016.

If you’d like to have a say on which color palette will be used for the Next Designer Contest, make sure to vote for your favorite palette. Hurry though, voting ends on Friday 30 September! There are some really great palettes too. My favorites are the “Succulent Hues” palette found on Design Seeds and proposed by Julie C Design: large-succulenthues-jpg-a01d33a6b008dde11d930ee3a069b9f7

and the “Fresh Hues” palette, also via Design Seeds and proposed by AnneC:

Go on and have some fun at the Studio … either by entering one of the contests or to vote for your favorite color palette for the Next Designer Contest.

Freebie: minikit Little Somethings vol. 3

Hello all! Time for a new freebie …. volume 3 of my Little Somethings minikits. I wasn’t sure at all about the colors when I started, but they grew on me. I thought they are kind of “zen”, which I needed after a busy month of back to back short deadline projects.

Be sure to let me know your thoughts about the color scheme in the comments :-) Enjoy the freebie!

Freebie: Quebec 2016 paperpack

Last month, we were with friends in Montreal. As this was our first time in Canada, they showed us around Montreal, the city of Quebec and the Charlevoix region. So many things to see, so little time! We returned home with a definite wish to revisit this beautiful country and do some touring. We loved it!

I was thinking about the trip again today and thought it would be fun to do a little paperpack for you, in the colors of the Canadian and Quebec flags but with neutral patterns so you can use the papers for all kinds of other subjects too.

By the way, you’ll notice that the papers have the prefix “Canadia” … That’s not a typo, it’s how we (endearingly) refer to this beautiful country when we speak with our Canadian friends, an insider joke really. I had already uploaded the pack and decided to leave it like that …

Freebie: Minikit Little Somethings vol. 2

Hello all, I hope you’re having a wonderful summer! Here’s another little digiscrap freebie for you …. a minikit in what will probably become a series. I do these when I don’t have a lot of time at hand and I still want to make something for you … Enjoy and thank you for your comments! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a little note if you like my goodies.

Freebie alert: minikit Little Somethings Vol. 1

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments for the So Seventies freebie … it was nice to read that many of you have pictures from that decade and that this kit would be fab for those! Thank you!

“Summer” is here …. if you can call it summer, that is. I don’t think I’ve ever seen May and June with as much rain as we did this year in Switzerland. The weather’s usually nice. Funnily enough Belfast/Northern Ireland – where my husband is from – had some of the best weather ever … very unusual also. On the positive side: I don’t have to worry about watering the garden. It’s lush green …

It’s a busy time for me: lots of client work and the summer visitors are arriving. I’ll definitely not have time to work on a big kit but I thought it would be nice to do a couple of minikits, whenever I have a bit of spare time. I hope you like them!

Here’s the first one: Little Somethings vol. 1. Enjoy!

A nod to the Seventies and not for the faint of heart!

Hello all from (at last) sunny Switzerland! First of all, thank you very much for all of the kind comments you left for the previous freebie, Spring Thing (you can still download it until 2 June). They are much appreciated!

This freebie, So Seventies, is not for the faint of heart with its green, orange and brown colors. As the title suggests, it’s a bit of a nod and a wink to the Seventies. So if you have some faded pictures lying around from that era, this kit may be it to make your layouts with.  I’ve split up the kit in separate downloads, so you can take whatever you’d like (or take it all, of course).

Enjoy! … if you can face those colors of course :-)
